This is Daniel's father. I was wondering why there was a sudden change in the line-up of officers when there was a legitimate election. I am also a teacher at UST (College of Science) and it pains me to see that an adviser, or is it an assistant regent, can DICTATE to the students who should lead them. Shades of "If I need your opinion, I'll give it to you." Does the Dean of Student Affairs know this? Is this sanctioned by the Principal? If there was any reason for the change in line-up other than the adviser's folly, it should be brought to the proper forum before any change can be instituted. I have asked my son to resign from your organization because the VALUES you inculcate in your students do not conform with the THOMASIAN VALUES.

To Candice, I commend you for your straightforward reaction on the situation. Keep it up, girl and I am looking forward to seeing you in my class in the College of Science. We need students like you who stand up for what they believe is right.

Mr. Josefino R. Castillo, Daniel's father.

I appreciate your time and effort in posting your message in this forum sir. But it would have been better if you have talked to me directly and Fr. Allen re this matter before posting your reaction. It would be proper if you hear first the reason/s why there was a reshuffle of officership in the club and not just be one-sided. Re your use of the word "folly", thanks sir, I will take that as a challenge eventhough I am not staying in USTHS for the whole school year. Your evaluation does not affect me at all. I guess I will not be assigned to a post where I am not competent and experienced.

Anyway, I will relay your message to Fr. Allen. We would appreciate if you will talk to us personally rather than posting your reactions here.

Good evening. There is no justification for a reshuffle of a legitimate election by an appointment of officers by the adviser(s). As I pointed out, it should first pass through the proper forum. Just because you as adviser do not believe in the capabilities of the elected officers does not mean that they are incapable. I am also an adviser. And that is exactly what I do. I ADVISE. I do not MEDDLE in the choice of the students. I do not assign them according to my FOLLY. Nobody cares about your evaluation. Since you do not expect to "stay in USTHS for the whole school year," I suggest that you give your replacement a free hand as early as NOW.

I really intend to talk to you and Fr. Allen personally about this.
